Prologue
“Ne, Jin, we’re having a goukon today, wanna come?” Koki's voice sounded over the phone.

The sonorous ringing of bells signaling the end of class continued to sound as students flooded into the corriders. They trailed out the front doors of their school, spilling out over the campus. It was Friday, so everyone was rushing to follow through with the plans they had made earlier with their friends.
Jin is hastily making his way down the steps leading into the building towards the student parking lot; cellphone in hand trying to make the most he could of the words coming from the other end.
“Hah? Hold on Koki, I can’t hear you,” Jin said as he tried to cut his way through the crowd of people that would seemingly materialize out of nowhere whenever he was present; however, the mass of students appeared to be doing everything in their power to prevent him from doing so.
"Hey Jin! What're you doing tonight?" He heard someone shout through the mess of students as he turned and fought to see who it was.
"I don't know yet! I actually think I'm making plans right now?" Jin yelled in response as he pointed a finger to his cell.
"Oh, maybe next time then!" Jin's classmate said as he went off in search of company.
“Move, move, move~ Ne, Koki? You still there?” Jin checked for his friend.
“Yeah. So ya in?” Koki replied.
“Goukon, right? Yeah, sure, I’ll be there. Usual place?” Jin asked as he covered the unoccupied ear with his other hand.
“Yep.” Koki confirmed.
“Is that it then?” Jin asked as Koki heard his friend become consumed by his loyal posse once again.
"Yeah, yeah. That's it. Ne, don't get trampled on, okay?" Koki laughed as he pulled his cell away from his ear.
“He’s coming, right?” Maru asked in anticipation.
“Of course!” Koki assured his friend as he slipped his cell into his back pocket.
“Yosh~! He’s sure to draw a crowd.”
"Doesn't he always nowadays? When did our Jin become so popular~" Koki wondered out loud, "He's such a player though. I feel bad for all the girls that end up falling for him." he sighed.
"Yeah... It's no fair though," Maru pouted, "I mean, he could just sit there and the girls would be all over him. He always seems so into the thing, but then he never hooks up with anyone afterwards. Why does he agree to come?"
Jin rested his head on the steering wheel of his car as he let out a long sigh. "Maa~ It shouldn't take students this long to get to their car. Why does the parking lot have to be so far away?"
He turned the key and started his car, proceeding to pull out of the cluttered parking lot. "Still have some time left before the goukon... better go get ready." He thought as he wondered what other guys his friends had dragged along this time.
“Ne, Kazuya, we’re having a goukon today, wanna come?” Koki slung his arm casually around Kazuya’s shoulders while flinging his own school bag over his shoulders with the other.

“We’re going with mine and Koki’s friends from Keio University to meet some girls from Yokojyo.” Maru announced as he jogged up from behind to catch up with the two.
Kazuya threw a glace over his shoulder at his own friends, silently considering their proposal.
“No.” Kazuya replied flat out.
"Please, Kazuya?" Koki wheedled.
Kazuya remembered the last time he had went along with them to a goukon. He'd spent the entire afternoon and evening sitting on the side while everyone else chatted together and blatantly ignored him. He'd promised himself then that he wouldn’t give in to his friends' pleading ever again. It wasn’t that the girls didn’t pay him any attention; it was just that he never knew how to act in front of an unfamiliar crowd. Girls would try to start up a conversation with him, and he would just completely shut down.
"We promise we won't force you to pair up with some girl again this time," Maru reasoned.
“Don’t you have anyone else to ask? I thought you guys had it all planned out last week already.” Kazuya stopped walking and faced his friends.
"We just need you there to even out the numbers. One of the guys got sick and didn’t even go to school today. Please, Kazuya, it’s only one night~"
"If you just need someone there to even out the numbers, why don't you ask Tat-chan?" Kazuya pulled Ueda over as he walked up behind them.
Maru and Koki both glanced at each other before looking at Kazuya incredulously.
"You think his boyfriend would allow that?" Maru asked.
"Well.. Ryo doesn't need to know." Kazuya retorted.
"Don't you remember the last time we tried bring Tat-chan along?" Koki shuddered at the memory, "I swear Ryo's implanted some sort of cracking device on Tat-chan!"
"...Yeah, maybe not such a great choice either."
"...Kazuya~" Koki and Maru whined at the same time, giving him their best puppy dog eyes.
Slipping out of his shoes, Kazuya walked into this apartment tiredly. He had two more hours until he would have to leave for the dreaded goukon. He sat down heavily onto the couch, and his thoughts floated back to the last time he had foolishly agreed to attend one of those group dates that his friends had arranged.
He was such a push-over when it came to his close friends, but they were always there for him whenever he needed them, so sacrificing a night or two for their goukons was a fair trade. With that thought in mind, Kazuya stood up, grabbed his bag and walked into his room to look for something clean to change into.
